OK got the cover off today and found it completely packed full of crap. I am starting to wonder how this tractor runs though, I didn't find anything like you posted snohiker. But i will keep digging around tomorrow. Got the cover for $10 and it is pretty mint. I also picked up a snowblower for it. It needs gone through and the mule drive is missing but it turns and is complete otherwise.

Havn't really done anything with this latelly, motor is ready to go back in, but i started a new job and the tractor is 2 hours away so it's untouched for a while. I am busy ordering parts for it though. picked up a stack, ag tires are on their way, and a few misc. parts here n there. I have also been on the lookout for any attachments i can and a hydro lift. My "works rust removal" wound up opening up some spots in the fuel tank, so i may need a new tank now.

Something that i am still at a loss about is the ignition system on this thing. I was always told these motors could never ran without points( ie electronic ignition) I'd like to know what this setup is so i can atleast get replacement parts in the future.

Has to be a Magnetron if it sparks without points.

I'm always amazed at how these old machines keep running and running without proper maintenance, and then sometimes just need a good cleaning.

The Simplicity 3112H is a truly exceptional machine from the Briggs 12 horse to the Vickers hydro, and everything in between. Worth every bit of effort.

Looking forward to more pictures!
