You may have seen my other thread about picking this tractor up, well it looks we have successfully saved another one from becoming a prius, yaris, or maybe a toaster. This thread is going to be kind of a time-line of progress, so it may get lengthy at times.
*Little bit of history* This is all we know, some deadbeat renters used it to mow the lawn, then for whatever reason parked it out back behind a shed. Homeowner was having his brother pick it up for scrap metal in a few days but we were able to pay him $50 to let us keep it. This tractor also served as a house at one time, because behind the dash was filled to the top of the gas tank with nuts/dirt.
Overall this tractor is going to be a good tractor once i put a little more work into it. So far the engine, trans, and hydraulics all work great. I've been wanting another 12 hp tractor around here and this thing is really going to fit the bill.
Needs: Seat paint(maybe) tires battery exhaust carb parts lights need wired in wheel bearings gas tank More attachments :)
Bringing it home:

Nice save Speedy! Keep posting pics as you get things done. Nothing better than progress reports with pics. Dave. |

oh also, i know it's hard to tell but in the last picture i cleaned the hood up, it looks night and day different from the rest, even though it does have alot of surface rust and the stripe is severely sun cracked. I am debating leaving it like this, and just repainting the white parts. |

That is definitely an improvement! Now, where did you get that fuel line!? |

haha, well the fuel line was from a local mower place, it's not as fluorescent as the camera makes it, i am going to get some red fuel line eventually but like the tires, i needed something temporarily. I can get you brand name on it if you are interested in it :D |

Lookin good! It will be a worker in no time. I'd love to have a hydro...and one with a $50 price tag would be even better! =] |

Well the bad news is starting to roll in! Just when i thought i had all the wiring fixed i find more melted wiring. This time going under the flywheel cover, so it looks like i may have to pull the motor out so i can get to some good wiring, or just replace it all. Also, it appears like it may not be charging right. The amp meter fluctuates back and forth +- 5 amps-10 amps at times, thou it may just be the meter. |

Thanks for the offer but i am to the point now, these are the only 2 wires i need to redo( the ones i found today), other than the lighting. The rest has new connectors where it needs it and new wiring also. |

Well the bad news just keeps rolling in... pulled the motor out( by myself) and discovered what is in the picture below. But i didn't have the right puller so i couldn't get the pulley off.
