finished up the refurb on the old B-10 i got this past spring(http://www.michaelstractors.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4994&whichpage=2), ended up getting a replacement briggs 16hp. i was going to rebuild the old engine, but when the bigger 16hp popped up for cheap i had to buy that instead. i still have the 23D it is rebuildable so if anyone needs parts let me know!! i have a replacement used rod for .10 crank, and two used .10 pistons, along with all the other 23D parts with the exception of the carb which im hanging onto.

this b-10 has had alot of changes done to it, not only by me but by the PO owner. the BGB is the only original piece of the drivetrain as the the transmission was replaced before i got it.

the replacement engine came with 2 carbs, to get the engine running i need to buy a new needle valve and seat as this one leaked like crazy! i also needed to replace the float, someone had some fun with a soldering iron on the old one, its also got an indent from a screw driver or something on the side of it.

Nice Job! Have to agree about that float, about as ugly as I've seen one.

It really doesn't look like a float. Very nice job on the restoration. Any implements for it?

Very nice B 10. I always like the decals on the early B 10's.

A 16 in a FDT is a great setup...(make it a FDT hydro with 16, and you've got a dream machine!) Those early B's have a retro-ish look that's hard to beat.

Scrolling through the first three pics I was thinking nice, looks really nice! Then I got to the last pic and said eeew! That was one ugly float! Fine looking tractor though, that's one to be proud of.

My guess is, that thing just gushed fuel until it ran dry! I can't imagine. i've soldered a few..just a lil dab to cover a pinhole or crack, and even that little bit can throw a float out of whack and it will flood like crazy. They're cheap...I buy new now =] I'd hang that one over the workbench!
