I had a couple new ones show up Sunday. A System 5010 with 42" deck in need of rescueing, and an addition I have been hoping for for a while now, a Squire. I aquired a sickle mower a couple years ago that has a MW part number and is pale orange in color, been hoping a proper tractor would come my way to carry it since. This should fit the bill. No seats, typicall. Both should run with a bit of time which is a rare commodity lately. The Broadmoor is missing the carb and the tank is rusty. The Squire needs the usual tank and carb cleaning no doubt, among other things.
The original tires on the Squire are just priceless! This is the first of these early riders for me, the hood hinge is just amazing, really slick to use! I want to tear into it, but the Misfit needs fixed first and then the 416 has got to become a runner again, not to mention the B-210......... Oh well, at least it's here. |

Nice! I thnk I saw that ol girl on ebay. If I remember correctly, it never garnered a bid, and I couldn't justify the drive. She's NICE. If you have a sicklebar with MW numbers, it would be the first I've heard of! That will be a very cool setup! I'm guessing it's the 23D? I have yet to find evidence that they made the MW riders with the 19D or earlier engines. |

Chris, I was thrilled with the weights myself, think it looks nice with them.
Josh, good eye! It was on the 'bay a while back, he had several lookers, no buyers. Many tractors, engines, parts, etc. have been traded and sold back and forth between us over the last few years. I am sure these won't be the last. The engine is a 19, looks legit so far but I couldn't swear to it. And I looked in the archives and found pics of the sickle bar, it is currently in the attic of the garage where it will stay for now. If it is upper 90's in the shade outside, that attic would be an oven!

That's awesome Rich! To be honest, I was thinking of restoring my 990210 bar along with my Squire 9, in gold. If I were able to have a duplicate of your tag made up, it would top it off perfectly! My bar is identical to yours, but minus a tag. Pretty cool!
Weights are one of the things I'm looking for now. I try to have a set that matches each tractor, and have a couple folks looking for some too. |

Is the pic good enough for making one? If not I could do better for you sometime. I am pretty stoked about this one, the oldest Simplicity made rider I have thus far. |

Same machine...badged different for Montgomery Wards. I don't think there's a nut or bolt that's different. Neat to find though! |
