Some of you may recall the indignity my BIG TEN had to suffer early this spring, first buried in the mud, then having to be pulled out by a Simplicity!!
Well the old girl went back to work on the woods road this evening, and redeemed herself fully! 
But first, gotta get one of them friggin Simplicity's out of the way!!

| Larry, you do fine work, but somebody needs to mail you a grader blade. Seriously, that grader would do wonders, and makes the seat time priceless. =] |

| josh that's exactly what i was thinking when i saw the pics a grader blade would do wonders on the dirt road. that and a hood mounted video camera with live feed |

After spending many years gaining the skill to do this kind of work with dozer blade, I'll stick with it. A grader blade would have worked poorly for pushing together brush piles as I went, and I'd have damaged my cherry grill for sure pushing that ole Simplicity out of the way with the grader!!
Without the old style manual lift and counterweigt the dozer blades only good for snow, IMO. But with the stinger set so there is about 5-10 pounds of downpressure, it's a joy, and priceless seat time.
A grader blade is on my list, but a York Rake is going to come first. Well you never know. I can get the rake anytime I feel like shelling out $600 |

See, thats why you need a dual lift! Run them both at the same time! =]
One of these days you'll stumble onto a grader, for like $1, and then your tune will change. I see them often in CL ads for tractors, and cant beleive one hasnt shown up in your driveway yet. |

Oh, I'll have one, probably make one myself out of an old Bolens plow I converted to a Simplicity hitch. Cut the blade in half and bolt it on backwards.
I'm sure that for ease of use the grader is great, I'm also sure that a skilled operator with a dozer blade can do much, much more.
Seeing how much the hard packed granite gravel we have here works the towns 40,000 pound grader, well, I think a grader without down pressure would take a long time to accomplish anything on my drivewayt
In any case, I like my BIG TEN so much set up as a dozer, I have no plans for doing anything else with it.
PS: Dual tractors beats dual lift any day. :)

Its fun to see all a tractor can do....nice to have dedicated machines, but theres a aense of satisfaction to squeeze one for all its worth, plus, its just cool! =]
Plus, theres a lot to be said about trying new things with these old rigs. I just wish I had a place like yours to monkey around more.
And you've fot plenty of downpeessure, Im sure, with the lanky frame of yours. =] |

| Very nice work and a real testament to these machines real capabilities. Other than a snow blower through wet heavy snow, my tractors never work that hard. |
