If I was a little younger I'd say that looked like fun. Now it looks like pain pills. I like your winch idea. I see your pickup in the back ground. How has that been treating you?

LOL, It was not fun, second time this last week I've had the Sovereign out by the swamp rescuing other tractors...

That Ford Ranger runs and drives like a top! Of course I'm not quite foolish enough to take it out in the woods...

So Larry, what's more fun, getting one stuck or then having an excuse to get another out to play Rescue?? :)

Goodness Larry, it's like you have a big kids sandbox mudpit there! I'm guessing you have real good boots, too?

Getting it stuck was no fun, mud kinda sucks. Putting down the boards didn't help at all. The winch on the Sovereign pulled it right out easily, somewhaht to my surprise.

It's always a wonder to me how high torque work like that makes an enormous job so simple. I might be simple minded, but a pulley puller amazes me too...something you could never get to budge pulls so easily with the puller. I have an ATV winch on my cart, but havn't got it stuck yet...kinda like buying a generator. Then you never have a power outage!

"I might be simple minded" Don't sell yourself short Josh!

Yeh, the winch has a planetary reduction and it has SERIOUS torque... I bought a standby generator 9 years ago with the belief that NHEC would then LOL stop having outages... Was without electricity 5-6 days this last winter. Genny probably has 200 hours.... DANG, got to change it's oil

As I look at those pictures, I can only see my dad standing there, shaking his head at me and saying, "Boy, what WERE you thinking?!"

Yes , but with me it reminds me of the time my dad got the 312D stuck in a place he had told us to stay clear of. It still brings a smile to my face to recall his looking up from under the brim of his hat saying " aren't you glad you didn't do this "

I worked at a kids putting play area in high school that also had a driving range, and in the spring I got one of the big tractors that picks up the golf balls stuck. Another kid came out in the backup tractor and got it stuck with the tow rope under tension. The owners brother then proceeded to get his own S-10 Blazer stuck trying to pull us out! The owner then came out in his F350 4x4 Duallie and pulled us all out. He asked what we learned, and I simply told him I needed to get his keys when we got stuck! He smiled and said no, don't drive the tractors in the wet, and not to ask his brother for help! :)
