so winter is here and i have the tractor set up for snow and i have ben bored with it, i had the rear plow and sold it, (me being dumb) i mean hey im a kid and wanted something else, well i regret selling it, but whatever i have some money, and dad said hed give me 100-150 for a tiller and i ad in the rest for a tiller attach for the 3414, or a disc harro or some other attachment i can have some fun with this summer, theres a simplicity disc harro on craigslist for 125 and im quite intrested or i wanna save my money and buy a tiller!
any sugestions? |

| Hey, Tom, we all have regrets through out our lives and if selling you plow is your biggest you will be way ahead of most. I would have kept the mold board but that is just me. I have seen the disc harrow at work behind small tractors and I have not been impressed. It just requires too much weight to get it to bite. I have found that my sweep cultivator does a far better job of breaking up clods and preparing a bed. If you want to buy something truly effective in seed bed preparation save you money for a tiller. |

| yes thats what im aimeing for! we have a small yard machines 22 inch 5 hp honda tiller, it gets the job done but its front tine and when slightly wet it gets stuck, just digs the entire front end in the ground so dad would rather use that on small jobs but rototilling my garden and my 2 neighbors gardens would mbe much easier with a tiller attach ! |

| Tom. Be patient and save your money for a tiller. They work very well on hydrostatic tractors like yours. You don't need it til the spring anyway so get the best one you can afford. Happy hunting on Craigs and ebay. Dave |

That advice ain't gonna work with money burning a hole in his pocket. No way, no how. Besides, the ground here in Ct. is very ripe for a good tilling now that most of the leaves are gone and the ground is nice and moist. Tom, You asked this same quesion about 6 months ago. I had one here, (I think it must have been
before you had any money). You never got back to me so figured it was too much for you. Now that you're looking again the news isn't so great. I sold it about 3 weeks ago. It was the newer 3 sided rectangular one with the clutching device and belt for a 7016H I believe and I believe the tiller would've fit most or all large frame tractors. It even had the idler pulleys ($$$$) to direct the belts around the
hydro filter which I believe you'll need. What's your tractor again? 3416H comes to mind. I'll keep an eye out for one, I'm thinking I know somebody that has one but he was getting rid of stuff at pretty decent prices 3 months ago so it may be gone. I'm pretty sure it was for the older ones but don't think it had a clutch. Guys, what does he need to make t work? If it's the cone clutch mid PTO and hydro you'll need certain things. If it's a gear tractor with a front clutch you'll need other pulleys and belts. Oh and don't forget the rear lift and rod or cable that does the actual lifting. I never did get a lift cable ($150 or more from dealer) for mine and finally gave up and sold the tiller. It's best to get everything all at once than piecemeal unless you've got unlimited funds like most teenagers parents. Be patient and you'll get just what you need eventually. I'll dig around locally tonight hopefully after what exactly you need is discovered. |

i have the rear lift so thets something i dont need valso have the cable, sorry i never jumped on it at the time man
im very patient no need for one now but i just like letting you all know what is in need because its always better to have more eyes looking!
