Graded the side of the town road about 100' either side of my driveway. It doesn't look it, but I moved a lot of dirt
The 7112H has plenty of power, and slipped only a little with no weights or chains (had me on it though) Might have a set of chains tonight. That blade floating, and on a pivoting axle is super. It will NOT be long before I have a hydraulic or electric lift. (or a very strong left arm)

| looks good larry . i do the same thing here only i recover the paved road that the hill across the street trys to claim. it covers about three feet by spring so i ether use push blade or belly blade on the 3212 .i can always tell its time when i cant back into my driveway anymore road gets to narrow |

No... and yes. The bolens blade I have to make some pieces for. This blade I just brought home yesterday, a 42" Simplicity HD dirt blade. First time for that, and really for the 7112H too. Just getting all the bugs out of that. It is one tight tractor, did great with no weights or chains, the narrow 23 8.5-12 Land Lord tires helped. It was fun. :)
Went after a set of used chains this afternoon and somehow came home with the chains, 5 tires/rims, another snow blade, wheel horse wheel weights (they fit), a bucket full of good idler and v pulleys, and about half of a 6216V tractor...

They won't let me into your country. Last time, I had 3 photo i.d.'s, and a sympathetic border guard who appreciated I was going to find guitar parts for my old guitar. But they gave me paper saying I needed passport or enhanced licence to enter in future. It would be easier to mugshot everybody. If they think I am a terrorist, why wouldn't they call the Canadian border people? I guess they think it's ok for terrorists to be across some imaginary line. I doubt they would entertain such a discussion. A passport costs $100 - I have other priorities before I support a belief that all people are terrorists in that way. I suspect I will have to cave to this pressure eventually - and prove I am not a terrorist by taking my pix and paying money. If I wanted to be a terrorist, this would make it all very easy. People don't think. Welcome to the States; have a nice attack. lololol.
So I can't crossborder shop, unless I do a lot of run around and prove I am not a terrorist; but the starting point is the assumption that I am; even though I grew up in a border town. used to walk over the Bluewater Bridge to Port Huron, MI, just for something to do. I was just a teeny bopper then. things change, now it seems that freedom means you have to prove you are eligible to be free. so everybody is a terrorist - first. this is not just a security issue. It might be a way of financing another security issue.
apart from that, I think it's a pretty long hike for secret pancakes. huh? what? Didn't we do the thread on that funny?
wow, I can't believe how almost everything I post these days seems like new frontier politics. The pigs are closing in on personal freedoms from many sides, on many fronts. It takes almost nothing to be a protester. So arrest me, waste my time and yours, earn your fat salary for doing gross inefficiency and incompetence and promoting a world where I have to qualify to be a human being in the best part of the world - or what used to be, or what is it now? - hard to say. People are unknowingly cosigning a lot of damage. Domestic terrorism - meanwhile the pigs point to various groups just to keep you occupied. Pretty dark. Those that died to support what we know and love, did not do so for this bs. It's probably good for the economy tho. Who's economy is it?
I can't decide if I am more angry or paranoid; but I don't like what's being done to my country in the name of progress and freedom and security and bla bla bla - it is all degeneration - and that's what the terrorists want - the subtle dark mother of all wars. We all pay to support an illusion of what we love, which is each other - but it promotes something else that more resembles a rat colony. I guess rats have feelings too.
It seems this road needs to be graded too. This is like the story of a rich person who built a great iron fence to shut out the world, only to discover he built himself into a prison. I think we need international pancake day; free pancakes with maple syrup for everyone. Who would have ever thought that pancakes could save the world.
I must apologize. However, this is no longer a mere point of view. Perhaps there is another point of view.
Road grading. We start with what we have. We see something better. We make it happen using available tools that we have the authority to use. Did you have the authority to regrade your road? Or did you just do it - like some free person, with good intentions.

I just did it, then hid the plow. (not) :) Pushing your snow across the road is BAD so Grading it must be horribly criminal. Yet I know no one here in Unity, NH who would think twice about it. Had a few friends here a couple weeks ago, and we were (yup) drinking whiskey (Canadien) till the wee hours. At about 2am, on a sunday night, we discovered some 9mm that "needed" testing. We set up some lights and targets and had at it. A few days later I ran into a neighbor who askesd if the Russians had invaded. I said Yup. Thats how it is here, at least for now.

btw, that's not whisky, that's rye. If you drink whisky, it should be scotch. There's a lot of snobbery with scotch drinkers. Me, I can't stand rye. I find it dishonest. It has a sweet taste that sneaks up on me, and I don't like the taste, usually end up sick puppy. Scotch, you know what you are drinking; even after some time goes by, it's still scotch. Real scotch enthusiasts drink it neat w maybe a dash of water, which releases the hidden flavour - esp. true in the very snobby single malt category. But some blends are good too - there's one in Canada called Grouse - people swear it's a single malt; but it's a blend; and fairly cheap too.
Rye, otoh, usually is totally disrespected as it gets mixed with sody pop and other things. I feel sorry for people that drink like that.
There's a certain pathetic elegance to drinking scotch. It demands respect; or it'll slap you silly. It really needs the right kind of glass also. I really can't drink much at all - but for some reason, I have always been able to drink scotch. And there's nothing like a good scotch w a teaspoon of water. Scotch should always be served with water, so people can add water per personal taste. Once you know that taste, you can never drink rye again. And then the quest is on for your favourite brand. They all come from different areas of Scotland - the difference is the water of the local area - they are all unique.
I like a hip flask at certain social events - I will offer it to a friend, if he asks what it is, it should be answered with it's proper name - this sets off a discussion that only scotch drinkers can appreciate. Half the flask can disappear at the same time. It's a happy whisky, surrounded by history and that pathetic elegance that somehow manages to allow one to get relatively blasted while maintaining self-respect while ROFLMAO. |
