If it was in great shape, no rust, arbors spun freely and were quiet, and blades were in alright condition, I would probably do that. For me I would need a 48" deck for that. I already have 2 42"'s...

I bought an 886 48" Sovereign deck in superb condition with brand new belts, blades and rollers for $200. The new parts were worth $150, I would have paid $100 without them, but it was in great shape. If it's not for a Sovereign/LandLord it's probably not worth more than $50

Of course if you need a deck and thats all there is....

I'd say it's worth it, if like everyone else said it was a 48 inch sovereign/landlord deck. it really isn't worth much if it's a 42 or you don't need it, it's just taking up storage space and lightening your wallet

A tiller for $350? That is very steep I would think. I got a 2110 with a great 42" deck and the 32" tiller with the PTO and everything to operate for around that. The sickle seems reasonable, but I wouldn't pay anywhere near that for the tiller alone. Of course, maybe they are more plentiful here....

Yeah 250 seems tops around here, for a good one. Where are you, I'd love to have a sickle bar
