Nice looking brocolli Daniel. A little steaming and some cheese sauce made from 8 year old cheddar!!! Simply heaven to the taste buds. B10Dave

My plants are just finally perking up and may set on heads in a month or so. I like broccoli, but I do like the fact that worms can't hide in cukes, or okra!

that is pretty broccoli. I also like it raw right out of the garden, grilled, or oven baked with EVOO and pepper. I am going to have to try my hand at that...its a winter crop down here. My asparagus ferns are coming along ok but everything else I planted in that "super dirt" is wanting. My herb garden didn't even germinate. and my strawberries have been only enough to put on my cereal occasionally. I want my garden to be like Michelle Obamas, She is feeding half the homeless population in DC out of her 900 sf garden.

Last of my broccoli for the year. May have a little regrowth in the next few days, then I'll pull the plants.
Just came a shower, so makes for the shiny speckles.

Very nice Daniel!
So far our garden is growing pretty good. The soil is very rocky though. We got some lettuce the other day, made a good salad. Wish i had planted some broccoli...

Those are last years pictures, right? You put stuff in the ground down there and you must have to run so it doesn't knock you over. Just about every year the neighbors cows get out and guess where they head to? Yesterday was the day. Right down the middle again. I don't know how they missed everything but they only got two corn stalks. I even opened the gate from my property into their pasture for them to go back in. Nope, one look at the garden and here they come. The neighbor lady on her 4 wheeler is hollering NO NO NO, and I'm hollering back Yep every year! Sweet little critters anyway.

Been wanting to post some garden pics, not much to look at but it's hanging in there. Harvested some zucchini so far that's it. Tomatoes should soon be ready, and hopefully we'll get some corn. Been very dry here lately, had the help of soaker hoses by day, and a sprinkler at night, but concerned about the well with all the water use.

Anyone else have any recent garden pics? and / or having any luck with their garden?

Wes

No pics, but I have tomato plants 5+ feet tall with many green tomatoes there. We are picking grean beans and peas rapidly now. The pumpkins have gone crazy, one vine shot up and over the 5+ tomatoes!! I now have a pumpkin growing near the top of one of the tomato cages. Not sure to what to do with him. We also have zuchini coming soon and the potatoes are tall and the popcorn is 3+ feet tall.

This weekend I spotted my first field corn tassels of the year, the earliest I can remember, Most field corn is 6+ feet. But like at my Dad's they planted in Mid-April (earlier than we used to) and only planted 100 day corn since my guys were gun shy as last year the corn did not dry, it was 20 percent still at Thanksgiving last year. So this year the shorter day corn was planted and we are expecting corn harvest to start early this fall.

Nope, still afflicted. I said when I went below 200 it would be time to take on the ciggs, but that is just an excuse I know. When I'm ready, and wish I were now.

When you get ready to quit let me know. I've got a REAL good method, that really works. This is the hardest thing a person can do, BUT it can be alot easier when your prepared. There's also a Very good chance you can throw the medications away too
