This is my 2009 Winter Fleet. A Simplicity 3112H with a plow and a 3012 with a Snow Blower. The B12 isn't shown because it didn't start, urrr.
The 3112H is a 1969 hydrostatic with the hydraulic lift (hydrolift) and the 3012h is the manual lift with a manual chute on the snow blower. It will be my first year trying the snow blower. I have aggressive V-Bar 2 link changes on the 3112H and heavy 2Link chains on the 3012. Both have the counter weight and wheel weights.
We've got 1.5" of snow so far today and watching it fall in Southern New England.

Looks like you have your bases covered well... Where did you get the Nelson can muffler?
A prankster must have broken in and put that yellow seat on your tractor
Hope it's comfortable cause it sure ain't pretty

Not only is it yellow and not pretty, it has a JD emblem! Sad thing is that I have two brand new seats like the 3112H and a cover to go over the orginal seat to go on that tractor. It falls in line with Dan's quote about not enough time! My tractors are a maintenance task of just keeping em running. I've not turned the corner of enough time to restore any yet, but I'm planning it all. Top it off that I must maintain multiple yards/houses.
Otherwise, the nelson muffler is original and can provide a nice headache if you skip the ear muffs. |

I am ashamed to say that I have done little or nothing with my tractors lately. I am still pasonate about them but doing something with them, heaven forbid. Luckily both run though not perfectily.
You mentioned Daniel. He complains of having no time yet de gets a surprisingly large number of things done. While I am still scratching my head and thinking about what course of action to take he already has it apart, has mined the ore, forged a new improved casting on the kitchen stove, milled to perfection with a bastard file, reassembled, painted, greased, washed and waxed. While at the same time went through four milking cycles, cleared a clog in the manure pit, pulled a still born calf, re-ringed the MF, laid tile in the bathroom, roofed the neighbors house, cut a set of decals for a CA, and re-spoked the front wheel on the Harley. Then he claims he has really had to slow down in his old age. I would love to spend one day watching what goes on at his dairy. The operative word there is "watching"... I believe that in itself would be exhausting. |

Just seen this post & made me laugh. Yes, I do have some days when I can get a lot accomplished, but I have many other days when things just don't materialize at all! When I'm on a run, I'm flat on the run, but when things aren't good...they are very very slow! Dad & I got sixteen 26' foot trusses up day before yesterday on our new hay roll barn. Then got enough purlins on top to hold it strong. Took abour 3 hours, but sure wore me flat out. Not too much done last couple days. COLD right now! |

| 26' trusses are on small matter and you put up Five + per hour plus purlins. ThAT is no small feat even with 8' walls and just how high are your sidewalls? |

CALL TO ARMS, CALL TO ARMS, It would seem that you are being pegged as an outcast by urbanites due to your work ethics.(TEE HEE) Being raised on the farm with the attitude that if you "use it and it doesn't work" then fix it, I can totally understand your work schedule, some days fast, some days slow, Dare'st I say it, You don't stop milking to go dancing, you don't quite haying to go on vacation, what has to be done,has to be done. Farming is not 9 to 5- Monday to Friday and time and a half on weekends. They give you a razzin for doing more in a day than most in week, take it as a "badge of honour". OK this should stir the cauldron for now.

I thought a farm day was more like 5-9 and then some during planting and harvesting. It is what we used to call "from can to can't"... no overtime there. |
