This started out as a Homesteader from Rich. I decided to make it a 728 though with the parts sheet metal i had. I need to get an engine wish i might have to raise with the steering linkage. but i cant raise it too high. I know where a 14 hp kawasaki and a 14 hp briggs is that i might put in it but i dont think they will fit under the hood. for some reason the steering linkage pic wont upload

Well I picked up a LX172 Deere for the Kawasaki and a Yard Machine with a 14.5 Briggs for this. I wanted to use the Kawasaki which is a 14 horse. I have a junk grill i was gonna cut up and use with the Kawasaki because the engine is too long. I got the engine bolted down and started putting the wiring harness in and had troubles. so i changed my mind on the Kawasaki soi dont have to cut the sheet metal. I guess I could try the Briggs but prolly the same problem. heres some pics of my work that i changed my mind on lol http://s1172.photobucket.com/albums/r569/SimplicitySwede/Toys/1972%20Allis%20Chalmers%20Homesteader%208/

Ya I already welded it up

I see that thing is still wearing the rear tires and wheels I looked for for a month after you hauled that load home. I had them earmarked for my wagon project, and oh did it drive me nuts that I couldn't find them. Then it dawned on me finally. Sometimes I have to seriously wonder about myself.

And no, I will not take them back as trade for that hydro sovy!

Well Ron, if you can make art out of discarded hoe blades then I guess you could make something worthwhile out of a green tractor. Ha ha ha.

I see you have a nice FEL on that green tractor.

I want a tiller for it now lol
B-16_IC Posted - 06/17/2012 : 17:04:25
Weird, that's what would have happened if it had stayed here! I thought that would be cool with the tiller on it. But the tiller went north, the tractor went south!

Not right now. There's a hole not quiet centered on the frame thats honed out and have a pipe that goes thru it. Welded the pipe in. Cut one spindles and welded the axle on the other spindle. Then cut the spindle shaft and welded it to the other shaft to make it longer.
