Posted - 08/21/2011 : 12:12:17 yes larry, i am going to make up twenty of them and put them on ebay one at a time to see how they do. but first i will make the one and have them lasered out by a friend of mine as i need them. then all i have to do is bend and roll them and paint them black. |

Posted - 08/20/2011 : 13:25:33 It was cschmidt supplied that incredible unfolded layout! The heat sheild on my BIG TEN is holding up fine, cause I'm not using it.... The one on my B210 really vibrates at certain engine RPM's, and I dont think it's going to last much longer. 18 gauge would be better, IMO, still easy to work too, ROB!! LOL |

Posted - 08/20/2011 : 11:12:27 hey freddie might be easier on you and the tool if you found some 22ga for it |

Posted - 08/20/2011 : 10:12:36 yep, heat shield.
larry where in the hell did you get that lay out?
i'am making it out of 18 gage. the real ones wewe out of 22 gage. it does not have to be heavy gage for it to work right, just enough to deflect heat to the carb for the winter. |

Posted - 08/20/2011 : 05:04:33 If those are your feet in the picture it looks like one BIG heat shield, the obround hole matches the one for the long hose clamp the old winter carb shields used to clamp it to the muffler, the top dotted line is for the flange that gets bent up and goes under the edge of the hood.
Its a FDT winter carb shield. How thick of materiel are you using? The originals are 18 or 20 gauge and are a little chincy. IMO |
