Well, Im gamblin a bit on this one. PO had 15 tractors in a CL ad, one was a 101. Its 30 mins from the house and the price was right. I asked what else he had and he said 'too many to list'.

Im buying it as a non runner, so my fingers are crossed.

I dont know if theyr'e falling off trees, but they are sure falling on my driveway, since last wednesday brought home a Sov 3314H, had a B110 and B112 droppesd off with the owner saying "we'll make a deal" and I just got home with a Nice running, nicely equipped Sovereign 3012V, and that seller has over 30 more tractors!

Yup! Sometimes you can tell ther's a gem under that grime. Most times, a picture makes something look better than it is...this was an exception =]

Since the Godfather is on AMC this afternoon, Josh, your trying to "make me an offer I can't refuse"!!!

Seen the number, thought it was a bolt-together. I love learning about these things. Ive seen three of the bubble decks, and all have been 990172's.

One of these days the youngin's will be old enough to cut grass, and that deck will be a blessing for dad!

Did I mention the blades have never touched a blade of grass? Brand spankin new!

Awesome! Might have to take you up on that! :) ST has it from a 1962 brochure for a 725. Deck is listed as 990245.

Pretty sure they went to the 42" bolt-together in '60. That B-more deck is yours if you want it...but yeah, you might have to come drive some Allis' first if you want to take it home!

Im thinkin another photo-op...
Talntedmrgreen Posted - 08/06/2011 : 12:21:33
Jon, thats a 990172...came in '59 only, as far as I know. Here's mine! (Show you the rest tomorrow after Charlotte). Where did you get that pic? Never seen that particular ad piece.

1014211 Posted - 08/06/2011 : 11:36:02
Right you are Freddie, the 32" deck for the fdt's has a totally different setup and a guard on the pulley....

1014211 Posted - 08/06/2011 : 11:32:22
Killin me Josh! :) I'm in the same boat, I don't think I would ever mow with the little guys unless my yard got really downsized. Besides, now it is stinkin raining here! It is tempting though. Your close enough I could always shoot over to your place some evening right after work, that way I could see your 'work force' too! :) No Charlotte this weekend... :(

Very nice find Josh! Looks great.
Talntedmrgreen Posted - 08/05/2011 : 12:49:33
You boys crack me up! It was a good snag...hopin to get a nice steady purr our of her, and a grill section. THEN, I'd have something nice and orange to park on Jon's site next year for sure!

I'm trying not to fall in love with them all, but that 101 is purdy. I always liked the hood decals on them...kinda cool. Now I have two non-runners and it keeps me awake at night!

Before I get any more, I need to clear some room in the barn...can't afford to finance outside storage =]

Jon-
If you need a Broadmoor deck, maybe that can be your bait to Charlotte this weekend? If I do get a Broadmoor, I don't think I'd bother with mowing. Of all the seat time I get, that's my least favorite. If I had actual grass, it may be a different story...

Freddie...we expect a full report on Monday! Be nice to see this Lake House of yours too
freddie Posted - 08/05/2011 : 12:12:22
no it wont fit the landlord. the landlord is 11inces wide and that deck is 8inches wide at the hook up points.
but look at the brite side, damm nice pick. i'am going up to the lake home this weekend and taking all back roads and a empty trailer. hint hint hint.

They did make that 32 inch deck for the FDT's early on, for sure in the 7 & 7.25hp days. It might fight that Landlord.....
