Posted - 03/14/2011 : 21:42:23 I see the rest of it looks good! Is that red oxide primer? I bought a gallon a while back and am planning on shooting my daily driver with it, should look better than white and rust. |

Posted - 03/13/2011 : 14:46:41 Good job for a first time welder Tom. (Take notes Phil) Is there more floor to fix or is it time to move to cab corners and wheel arches? Post a pic of the whole truck Tom. B10Dave |

Posted - 03/13/2011 : 10:40:49 What do I think? I think it looks a whole lot better than a gaping hole! Looks like it should serve you well, a little cleaning up and some sort of coating to cover the bare metal. It wouldn't hurt to put something over the welds like a caulking of some sort to fill in the pinholes that inevitably happen welding thin rusty metal. I'd say job well done, keeping the old flivver going for a while longer. |
