Used my daughters good old trusty Simplicity 717 to mow my lawn for the first time. 50 year old tractor mowed it beautifully. I will post pics of my shed in a bit, I have 3 tractors in there as of right now with more to follow.

Wow, you have some acreage there. How big is it?

That's a lot of mowing with a Broadmoor! I did my only mowing this year with a recently aquired 610 Allis. I forgot how fun it is to mow with them, but not nearly as fast as my 900 series hydro!

I have just about an acre and a half. However some of it is a pond and there is a lot of landscaping so I am mowing at best half that. My Sovereign is still mowing my dad's 2 acres until my brother purchases the house from him this fall. Then the Sovereign can come home to mow mine!

It would seem that you have at least one child who could do the mowing or are you trying to keep all the fun to yourself?

Some days it's quieter mowing even with a 50 year old 7hp Briggs and Stratton at full song than inside with the 5 kids!! :)

Even though I only have two I can identify with that! My little girl is only 13 months, can't much talk yet but she still chews her 3 year old brother a new one occasionally. Can't understand her, but we get the point.

I spent a lot of time hiding in the back yard when my 4 were at home. I miss not having to do that any more.

Too funny! And how true it is for me as well. I catch a lot of grief about my 'fetching the mail', or 'taking out the trash' trips, where I return an hour later from the shop. I cannot imagine 4 kids, much less 5!

Jon, looks like you have a fantastic new place!! The cut suits it well ;-)
