A Craftsman. What am I thinking???

#128512;#128512;#128512;

Here's why. The same Kohler Magnum that is in The DA 1918 and Sunstar counter part.

It popped up on the local craigslist today for 500.00 obo. After a lot of talking (begging), I traded a nice self propelled craftsman and 100.00.
I was wanting an engine for my newest find, a DA 1914 that was my fathers tractor he had sold 10 year ago to get a zero turn.
It is the second tractor from the right. It has 635 hours on it. The engine broke he rod about 5 years ago and the lady pushed it out in her horse pasture. I have started buffing it and slowly fixing the minor problems with hope of finding a replacement 14hp engine but then this 18hp magnum popped up about 20 miles from me. The engine runs great.

And here it is. In my Ultimate/Sunstar lineup.

I am one tractor away from tracking down and owning all of the AC lawn tractors my father brought home from his dealership for his yard. So far, I have the B10, B110, B212, 916 (rough) and now this 1914.
I am still trying to locate the 710 he had but no luck tracking it down yet. He has some ideas where it may be but I am going to wait until winter to start chasing it again because he thinks it is out on a farm pushed off in the weeds or possible a ditch.

Great lineup of heritage tractors and that 18 will be right at home in the 1914. Hey that cowcatcher on the front of the Craftsman is worth half the price. :)

Nice line up of Deutz-Allis tractors. A group photo of green Simplicity's is kind of rare.

Got the engine pulled and taken thru the car wash. Going to finish cleaning the block tonight and spray some bbq black on it.
