A few weeks ago I had my bricklayer friend replace the angle iron over the window in the wife's garage. It was 4in. x 4in and about 6ft. long. This was the original but it should have been a 5in x 5in. Looks good now. This left me with the old angle and an idea. Spent this afternoon building a new implement for myself.
Still have to pick up pins for mounting and blade angle control. Then I am going to do one more little fab job. Care to try and guess what is left to do besides paint?....Dave

Drilled the angle control hohes today. Made and added two more brackets and spacers. Added another lift link. Now have a rear and mid mount grader blade. Just trying to decide on yellow or black for the paint...Dave

Now that is handy.... I'd bet you will find that configuration a lot more useful and controllable. |

Phil; I think I will find it useful mounted in either configuration depending on what I want to do. Mid mount will be better at grading but rear mount will spread gravel or dust and chips better. For the $10 and my time invested I can't really see any downside...LOL.....Dave |

Nice, if you paint it green it will be worth more, but probably won't work as good |

Ahh, nice piece of thinking! I will have to look at the home built rear blade I bought a while back and see if I could do the same. Midmount would be way easier to watch grading and easier to control. Backdragging is where the rear blade will really shine. |
