My grass grows very fast and heavy in the spring. I have been cutting it for 11 years with my 919H at this property and 11 years before on the farm. Two weeks ago after mowing the KT19 was covered in oil. Excess crankcase pressure was pushing it out out all over the top of the engine. I've been expecting this to happen for awhile. The engine has never been apart in the 22 years I have been mowing with it. Time to rebuild it I guess. Anyway; I now had to get another mowing tractor ready. The BigTen is my most reliable tractor so I removed the low speed pulley and went back to a 6in. driven trans input pulley. I had a 42in. deck that was in fair shape but I had to put a set of baffles and anti scalp rollers under it. The weather didn't cooperate and the grass went 9 days between mowings. Needless to say there was a buildup of clippings that had to be removed. Last night after work and today after work I spent a total of 6 hours sweeping my whole yard and tossing the clippings over the creekbank at the rear of my property. Glad that job is done. I usually only have to sweep once in the spring after about the 3rd. cutting. Below are some pics of the tractor/sweeper and before and after property pics. When I finished about 8:30 this evening the BigTen was making a funny noise when the clutch was engaged and not when the pedal was depressed. Drive belt was coming apart. Finished sweeping just in time....Dave

Last pic shows the creekbank where I need to cut with the sickle bar mower. Guess I will have to get it mounted early next week.

Ever thought about bailing that hay field? You do have a lot of grass to pick up.

I have clover but not much grass. The native varieties are still dormant with this The coldest May on record. The BigTen did a great job.
