Well, my mother now has the home on the lake that was my Grandparent's place, and the pole barn we have out back isn't all that big. Since Grandma's passing, we've been doing some cleaning, and I've been bringing home more tractors. The pole barn has been my 'overflow', and in return, we have a couple 'new' tractors over there that the family uses for lawn duty.
IN preparation for the winter, and boat storage in the barn, I've been cleaning out junk to make room for tractors and parts I have yet to part with...kinda my end of the deal if I want to utilize the free storage. Every once in a while, I find a Simplicity tractor part that Grandpa stashed away, and I bring them home and put them to use wherever possible. Here's the first true 'Allis' part I've found, and I'm tickled to death! I do not recall this seat back when we redid the B110 in the late '90's.
Barn fresh!
Wiped down a bit...good chrome and no cracks or damage in the vinyl
It has been redone at some point, and the work looks very nice! Pleats and all...
I'm thinking I'll use it for show season...I like the black on orange. If it's not going to be original, it at least has to be eye catching! With one of Rob's toolboxes, this will really look snazzy... |

Ha! No...but it's big enough. Right now we have a lot in there, and then do the shuffle to fit in the 'big' boat once the weather kicks us off the water. This weather has bought us another week. High's of 80 will make for a couple nice, fall color weekend boat rides.
Currently, there is a small snowmobile trailer, a 16' jet boat, 4 tractors, blowers and mower, a yard cart, a go-cart, 3 snowmobiles and a bunch of other 'stuff'. We need to make room for the pontoon, which is 9'x28', and clears the rafters by 1' when up on the trailer. It basically takes 45% of the barn.
2 tractors will head up to the house for easy winter duty access. The sled trailer will move outdoors, the sleds will get shuffled and we're going to add a golf cart to the mess before Thanksgiving. Need another Barn! |

Larry,
My farmer buddy Jake has a couple of Quonset Hut's on his farm to store hay, tractors and/or equipment in.
They are reasonable priced down here...

| Those ar an excellent value, I am looking into what the town considers "permanent" and "Temporary" for tax purposes. One open on the ends would be gret too, close it in at any time. |

| I moved where I am partly because there was no zoning, but in 05 the town voted in standard state zoning, I dont know where qounsets stand there. Personnally I think if you have enough space and keep it maintained and neat that should be the only consideration |

The B110 was my Grandfathers since new....he sold it when they moved from Ohio to Michigan in the mid '70's, the bought it back around 1990 when the second owner died. It had been a block up the road for over a decade. I used it after he bought it back until we redid it in 1997. It was unnoficially retired then, after he died later that year, and given to me by my Grandmother in 2007 when I bought my home.
The 2110 was bought new by him as well....it was kept after the move to Michigan, and given to my parents as a sort of wedding gift in 1978. My old man had it until around 2001....I learned to push snow and mow on that machine. I got it back this past year from the good ol boy who bought it off my old man nearly a decade ago.
I replaced the busted tranny and got it running again. Now it's back at my old man's place (on loan) cutting grass and soon to be pushing snow again. He LOVES it! |
