Got my Landlord 101 out of winter storage today, changed the oil and gave the kids rides. It was nice having a tractor sit all winter and be eager to run again!! Larry, thanks for the parts list on the stack, it sounds great!!

LOoks Great. I was going to say I'm not used to seeing your 101 without the kids in the back, then I got to the last picture. :) |

That's a fantastic looking ride...but those kids are going to outgrow it, and you'll have to put another together to hold them all! =]
Nice to see you having time to play! Did you brace the stack to the head somehow? I was thinking of going that route on the Big Ten to avoid blasting the loader with exhaust, but veto'd it. I do like the look! |

I thought about bracing somehow but had no idea where to start. It looks to me that serious modifications would have to be done to do it. Not sure I will worry about it yet, especially with the limited use this machine gets. And hopefully when the kids outgrow the carryall, they'll be ready to drive the ones I got for them! :) |

Gerard, it doesn't have a problem with the kids. I have the front weight on it and I even had the front tires loaded with beet juice which adds just over 20lbs a piece to the front. The old brochures state that it is made to hold up to 350lbs. Now, I did experience front end lightness with it once, and that was when I loaded the box with almost 700 pounds of wet, packed sand not realizing I had put that much in it. The below picture was before I heaped the sand in it! I could barely steer it when I had that much in it!

If you do end up looking to brace it, turn your clamp so teh nuts are forward, and you can brace it to a couple head bolts with a small peice of steel. Even guys like you and I, without a machine shop, can do it. I'm looking for a vid on it that I saw... |

I am determined to put a secondary brace on the stack for my 3212H, just to be sure it will never crack the block. It has to attach to the engine. So far I have not come up with a satisfactory design that leaves the hood intact, But I will, just have to sleep on it another month or so... I'll of course post my 2 cents worth when the time comes. :) I'm VERY OPEN to ideas... |
