Well, I had the day off, for a trip to the coast with my wife for our anniversary. She wanted soooo badly to watch the big wedding that I had to find something to do! I fertilized teh lawn, then hooked up the new cultivator.
Works great...I used the RH lift for the midmounted portion, which allowed me to raise it when I reached the end of a row, and still complete the run with the rear portion.
I love this tractor!
I really like the ease of controlling this cultivator, but need to makes some big adjustments. I also like the ease of backing into a spot, vs. my 209 cultivator which swings and sways all over when it's in the air.

| Hey Josh, I finally get to see the tractor in your profile picture and I love it!! I'd like to see a complete set of pictures including under hood and seat. However, if you wish to remain hier to my tractor museum, you better resize your pictures to 720 pixels wide or less. Your pictures on this post are 1023 wide and I had to reset my browsers scale to view it. |

As far as the setup goes...I love it, but AG's are definitely neededin that loose soil...I pretty much controlled my ground speed with the hydro lift. I had dirt in my hair... |

| What speed do you use while using that? Do you use a high speed? You definitely need some good AG's on that baby, those turf tires looked pretty caked in the photos. Dirt in the hair though, that's a good day! |

I've been clowning around with various speeds. Seems 2-Hi works about best. 1 is too slow with my turfs...I need a little momentum to keep from digging in.
I have AG's mounted up, but they are waiting to to go on the Big Ten. I don't really have any more garden work I 'need' to do before planting my seedlings, but it's fun to play. I will be mowing this week, so the midmount will have to go. |

I see a break in the rain here from now 'till Thursday, I sure hope to till something soon! Looks like you had fun, color me jealous! Never seen one of those around here, looks like a fun attachment, I love tilling in any way. |

Yup...HiLo works fantastic with the tiller, but I don't really need it with this attachment. I'll probably throw the tiller back on, now that I've done some more test runs getting the cultivator adjusted for runs between the rows. I have my width and depth adjusted so that when the hydrolift is all the way down, I'm at a good depth for cultivating and keeping the weeds away. I'll run the tiller through again, since I've made a mess of things, then put her away for a while. I think this cultivator will do well this summer. With any luck, it will be on a loader tractor by the time things are up and growing well.
If you look closely, in the second picture, you'll notice deer tracks in the unturned soil. I will have THAT to combat as soon as I get stuff in the ground. I didn't have any trouble last year, but the year before, I could yell at them from the porch, and they just snickered and kept chewing. I keep a slingshot close at hand for the young, stupid ones. =/ It's hard to sleep at night knowing they are waiting for the lights to go out. |

| Josh. When the deer at my last place wanted to snack on my garden I found an easy way to keep them away. Drink lots of fluids in the evening and just before bedtime urinate around the edges of your plot. Kept my veggies safe and after the dog got 3 rabbits the veggies thrived. Dave |

| I will have to try that under the cover of darkness! No rabbits here...coyotes thinned them.so bad, I havent seen one in 4 years. My parents live in the 'burbs and you count them in the dozens... |
