Josh, do you have both traction control screws on your right axle hub?

I think he said he was going to use sunken head screws for his dual wheel extensions....

Jon's on it...I have 7/16x20 stainless socket head screws in there =] My B110 has them in too...no fiddling around with clearing those lug nuts when you pull a wheel off, and it allows for aftermarket dual adapters.

Ok...a few more dignified pics of the nearly finished product. Only some minor tweaks now, and my rear light. I think I'll start a new thread when it's time for the loader and duals to avoid a 10 page topic.

Thanks for bearing with me...I'm proud as hell, and you guys share an appreciation that help make the work worth while!

Hmmm...I dunno Larry. That just looks like something that would make me cuss. I don't even know where I would find mud like that around here!

You can beleive I was cussing!!! I worked for an hour before I went and got "The Winch", pulled it right out.

As for the mud, just drag out the garden hose and make a nice wallow.

Josh, you must be using that B10 for coon hunting with the angle of those headlights. .

BTW: very nice execution.

Ha! yeah, the light bar has a bit of a twist to it. I had straightened it when I was refinishing it, but apparently, a little bit of bend, goes a long way, and I'm going to pull it loose and flip it over to aim them the other way...we'll see if that works, or if some more straightening is needed. I'd hate to blister my paint, but it is an easy part to redo. Right now, they're not seeing much darkness, since we're in the longest days of the year.

On another note...I'm wondering if anyone has a thought on the sound level of the machine. Prior to the resto, it was the quietest machine I've ever had...so noticeably so, that I got comments from guys on how softly it purred. Now, it sounds like a 12 horse...has a crackle to it. It is running FANTASTIC, better than my B110's, but is probably louder than both of them. I did not monkey with the exhaust at all...didn't even take it off. Could it be, that the machine is running differently, or would something else cause the crack?

It never smoked before, and still does not...I cleaned the valves, piston and head for good measure, and gave it a new headgasket. Fresh oil...that's about all I've done with the engine. I would drive it at night before, but now I'm a bit embarrassed to try and go for a night run with neighbors and baby's sleepin.

Well, maybe a long shot but if yours was anything like mine, packed so full of dirt/oil mix in the lower frame area where the engine sits, that it could possibly act as an insulator of sorts. After all the stuff is cleaned out, kind of an echo chamber down there? I just got back from the car wash yesterday, spent about 10 bucks for another cleaning. I can't say it's louder tho, still purrs so nice - but then my hearing is toast after years of exposure to loud stuff. My hood vibrated quite a bit and after fiddling with the attachments is now quiet, made quite a difference. Looking for excuses to drive it.
