Well I picked up the 7117 today and it's quite a monster size wise compared to my B's. The machine itself in great shape and even the seat is perfect. The previous owner always garaged it until a few days ago.

Does anyone have an idea on a year? The model is 1690571 and serial is 002342. It has a blown Series II 17 twin and I cant seem to find any numbers on the motor.

Thanks!

The ID tag on your engine should be on a flat surface on the left rear side below the air cleaner.

That mfg# was built between 1980 and 1985. With that serial number I would think it were made in the first two years of production.

could be, How many were made? The steering was changed over at about serial # 1402 and then again at #2853. Its funny they went to that tapered shaft then back to the cylindrical.

Yep I've got a 7016H that's going to be a 716H, fond a sucker to take the Briggs engine for 300.00 and I don't have to ship it.
