The were used for stationary small augers or elevators on the farm. Neither of the jobs really require much HP, and you would take up farm tractor running them and sometimes space to work with was tight as well.

AC sold these saying you could save the big tractors for real farm work and the garden tractor could run the stationary equipment instead.

I would like to say they were only an AC accessory and not sold as Simplicity since they were for the farm and had no use in Suburban life.

I had access to a big old cement mixer that this would have ran, from a farm. My wife was at her limit, so I couldn't ask for that... but that would have made a cheap BIG cement mixer.

That neat little item is pretty much in my backyard, but what would I use it for? I have to be practical, I HATE being practical, it's COOL! Sure wish I could justify it, but then I'm betting his reserve is much higher than I would pay. He's had a 310 for sale for two years, never dropped his price.

Now you had to go and ruin this whole thread mentioning that jerks name, oh well. I really looked at that 310, but for 650? with no attachments, nah about 375-400, maybe

I've seen them bring more. I'm supprised he'd let it go for that, maybe he's getting soft.

freddie, good for you. I too was interested but couldn't for the life of me figure out what I would do with it.
