These are some of the worst valves I have come across. It reminded me to show them when I was trying to find a stretched valve to show Zippo, when he was here. I still don't think this is the worst stretched valve I have but it is a fairly good representative (note, the stem should be the same diameter from top to bottom). Plus, they look a lot worse in person than in the pics.

That would explain why I had to keep putting lash back into my 7018. Couldn't figure out why they would wear so the valve was standing open.

The really stretched one I was looking for to begin with, I believe it was messing with the timing and made the points need to be adjusted to make it start better. It was only a month or two ago and I can't remember the situation that made me come to the decision about timing, and that firing happened at a time while this valve was still open a little, making it hotter, making it worse, making it stretch more. I will really need to go back to think that one out. Some memory mints, please.
