What i had tried to do was to use a tractor for a power supply for a Wood chipper. I have most of the stuff i was trying to use. Got pretty much ready to get it modded up.
The wife's unkle came by. He is an unemployed builder.
He suggested I extend the garage so i have a place to store those tractors.
He figure $800.00 tops for the project. 24'x 20'
No concrete or siding.
But he had another grand idea why not put a dormer on both sides for storage? Well ok.
Added 13 TGI trusses and 3/4" tongue and groove plywood for a platform to work on and to make use of the dormers.
The metal roofing was almost $900.00

I'm not sure if i should coat the tgi trusses with anything to reduce the effect of moisture on them.
But i wish i could have just stuck with the wood chipper project.
I wouldn't be so worn out and it would at least have been tested by now.
I'm worn out, I don't have anything done yet, but the tractors will be more or less dry.
The lumber price is depressed.
That 3/4" tongue and groove use to be over $30.00 a sheet.
I got it for 16.00.

Steel is not depressed. The roof is a 7/12 pitch and I am worn out from trying to stay on it while i am screwing it to the 2x6 rafters.
I never applied for a job of roofing i knew there was a reason.

Sounds like a project we'd want pictures about. I was quite beat from sailing this past weekend, no forward progress on my projects...

That is a great deal on the ply wood. I ocadionally catch the T&G on sale as your more pedestrian builders aren't familiar with it.
