Hello anyone who knows about Tecumseh carburetors. I can't get mine to stop leaking. I will post a picture as soon as I can. You can email me at rockndb@gmail.com or reply to this posting.

Thanx,

Tractorpuller101,
Here's the picture:

Note: To upload pictures you need to resize them so they are less then 100Kb. I use a tool and resize them so the width is 640 pixels or less. You click on the paper clip in this text:

The gas is leaking from the little tube in the top left corner.

Hi TractorPuller101,
Please read the link below:

http://en.allexperts.com/q/Small-Engines-Lawn-1746/Leaking-Carburetor-Tecumseh-Snow.htm

They are recommending you pull out the tube a little and apply JB Weld. Does that sound like the correct solution? Please let me know. Also note that they also tell you if that doesn't work that a new carburator is needed. If we can't figure this out from all the links we find, I'll ask you to post a topic on some good engine forums and we'll all learn.

Thanks

B112(Michael)

Here's an article on your carb adjustment:

http://forums2.gardenweb.com/forums/load/lmower/msg0321430015229.html

This page cross references a bunch of engines (says your engine is 7hp):

http://home.gwi.net/~spectrum/snowengines.html

This page says your engine is a 6hp:

http://www.perr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4238&sid=f92b38a24503723e8deae41c0b5564ac

I recommend the last forum for engine info, as the owner runs it like or for school on small engine rebuiling.

These might be silly questions, but are you both getting gas in the engine and getting a spark? Is the engine even giving a kick? I've found that as long as you have electrical working, if you can get gas in the carburator the engine will give a kick. If you have a gas supply problem on the gas, the engine kicks but will not keep going.

So are you suggesting that I squirt some gas in the cylinder and put the spark plug in to try to get a kick out of the engine?
I think its getting spark because i took the plug out and it sounded a lot different.
