I noticed my neighbor's lawn had gotten very long recently. I have also been teaching Alex to mow. So I thought a fun way to help our neighbor would be to offer to mow his lawn. It was very long in places(above the front axle) but it did ok. Horrible quality pics from my phone, sorry.

Looks more like a weed patch than a lawn, but a great lesson in helping others for the kids. Good going.

I love it! That last pic really captures what it's like knocking down the tall stuff.

What year model is that? What brand hydro does it have and is it the same as my 918H? I can buy a Simplicity like that for $150 w/48" deck. But it has a single Briggs engine.

I didnt think they used the single cylinder engines into the 1990's due to emission laws. This engine has a 1993 serial number so I assume tractor is such. It has the Sundstrand hydro, which I think the bulk of them were, after the models in the early 1970's used Vicker's hydro. But once they went to the Sundstrand hydro they stuck with it I believe. I would think the single cylinder engines were phased out in the 1980's? $150 seems good regardless if it is a good runner!

Looks like my yard since the flood.
