Posted - 10/30/2007 : 19:15:23 Need a rough idea of what a complete Ford LGT-125 is worth. Has 12 hp Kohler, hi-low hydro, manual lift, electric clutch, and lights. Everything works.
Also need an idea of what the parts are worth if I part it out. Have a potential customer for the hood.
Thanks,

I could do that.

Posted - 12/02/2007 : 19:53:28 High bid on E-bay was either $73 or $76. For that price, which did not meet my reserve, I decided to hang onto it for a while. The rear tires, wheels, and electric clutch are worth that much.

Ford's don't have all that strong a following, so sell prices tend to be lower than other brands. That one is in nice condition, so it may go over $300, but not much higher I don't think.
$300?, you reckon? I've seen nicer& bigger with mower pull down less. |

Bingo!! Worse yet, it has a Kohler with the oil pan welded to the frame.
Roy, does it have a hole in it and a flush handle? |

Posted - 12/02/2007 : 08:32:54 If I owned a big Ford tractor, that would be a nice little tractor. It would still be a toy at that point. So it all depends on the buyer. I've not even seen a price on one, so thanks Phil for throwing out something. |

Posted - 12/02/2007 : 03:35:27 Roy, I have seen the LGT's going for $200-300 with mowers. To me, its a "Ford" and that is enough to nix the deal. Actually it is not a bad looking tractor. |

Posted - 10/30/2007 : 20:58:48 I will say it's a nice looking tractor for it's age; I like it! That tractor is not my specialty, so I'll only help with my thoughts on how I'd approach this; I think you have a lot more experience than I, but I'll through out this anyway...
first some questions... Perhaps other replies will help answer these also.
1. Have you tried a search on eBay for that type of tractor? 2. Have you located a group or groups of collectors for this older class machine? (could be some here )
With my experience of advertising to sell parts/tractors, only people who wanted older machines would complete any type of sale or someone who had that machine and had a need. I've sold many more parts because someone would have a need and/or desire to restore a machine. Otherwise, attachments all went first. Tractors don't command any major value unless they are shiney and look/act reliable.
