Well, I used my weedcutter on my Sovereign after measuring and figuring out I needed a 152 inch belt to power it off the mid PTO. It actually worked very well. Cut for 90 minutes for a friend who moved in to a new house and the previous owner had given up mowing most of it. It cut through grass and brush taller than the hood. I took a satellite view and outlined in red everything I cut down. Lots of fun seat time!

As soon as I mount it back on in a couple weeks I'll take some. It definitely was not meant to use with the 'modern' Sovereign, and you'll see why when I get pics posted. Stay tuned! Hehe...

Sounds like you need a brush hog or maybe a DR brush mower.

Ok, not sure why that first video didn't have sound but I redid it. Has sound now and changed the link. Not sure how to delete the first video from youtube but oh well.

Ok, couldn't resist. Before I have to take it off to mow I took my oldest daughter, Emma, over to the tractor show grounds to get some more photos and a video.

And the video on youtube:

My Weedcutter doesn't have that bar upfront, nor does it have a spot for it, mine is just flat. I can see that helping a lot, I might need to add one to mine.

I was thinking of trying to get a video clip while on it, but maybe next time. The ground I was clearing was so bumpy that even crawling I needed to pay close attention with one hand on the steering wheel and the other on the speed control. I can't believe the abuse I put it through this time due to the ground being so bumpy. At one point the front right tire dove into a big hole and the left rear tire came off the ground, yet I was able to still back out. I was being careful but when clearing tall grass that you can't see obstacles under you just have to take it slow. I know mowing gets 'routine' sometimes but I always try to dial the attention up to 11 when using this thing. I need to get a quick video of it though.....

Mate, That looks like the kind of fun that requires some canned refreshments!
