About a month ago, I heard a knock at the door and found a gentlemen with a truck and trailer loaded with a 3416H w/42" deck and rototiller. Said he had been trying to track me down to see what I might offer for his load. We chatted for about an hour, but I never really made an offer on it. He finally threw out a number that he could live with. It just so happens that I could live with it too.

While not a beauty queen, the steering is tight, the bgb is tight, tires are good, has a newer 51R battery in it, newer deck shell, electric lift, and after a little wiring repair, all 4 of the pod headlights work! Also after using it for a few weeks to both mow and till up an area, there is no visible leak from the shaft on the Vickers!

That is a sweet deal when you don't have to pursue them! Good looking machine too, the white would no doubt improve with some fine wet/dry sandpaper and a good polish.

I wish people would knock on my door with good deals. It would save a lot of driving.
That's a nice tractor.
