Needless to say I used my snowblower for the first time this year and the belt broke. Darn thing was probably only 30 years old. Went to town and picked up another belt. Matched up perfectly to the old belt so wallah. Installed new belt and nowhere close to being long enough. Old belt was 4L490; new belt a gates 6849{1/2 X 49). Totally confused. Any thoughts are certainly appreciated.
