Last weekend I went to an estate auction of a local AC collector that had a few gts listed. I told myself I was NOT going to buy a tractor, just going to look for attachments, I do NOT need or have room for another tractor. Only maybe if the B-1 was nice, and cheap. Well, all the gts brought very reasonable prices but none stood out to me as I already had similar examples or had no valid excuse to buy. But I guess I convinced myself I had reason to buy one!

It came with a nice 42" deck, hasn't run in several years and is missing the key and seat bottom. These pictures were taken after I gave it it's new to the ranch bath removing many years of grime and grass clippings from the frame and transaxle. I really don't know when I'll get to tearing into it, but it's here when the opportunity strikes. No plans to repaint, it's current condition suits me just fine. After all they are only original once.

Not as exciting but I also bought a home brewed rear blade the same day. It is super heavy and works great! I think I'll shorten the lift bar as it only lifts a short bit off the ground.

Thanks guys, I'm pretty stoked. The grille needs a bit of straightening but that'll be easy. I just can't believe it still has the emblem.

Nice find Rich. I agree on the no restore. I have a B1 and an early B10 in about the same condition. No plans to restore either one.....Dave
