Posted - 12/13/2012 : 21:10:12 This is my snow removal team at the moment. The tractor is a 1972 Simplicity 728 with grader blade. The snow blower is a 1982 Simplicity SnowBuster 220. 2.7hp Tecumseh 1605 2-cycle, 20" path. My grandpa bought this blower brand new on 2/18/82 for $230 at Coast to Coast hardware

Posted - 01/20/2013 : 09:22:36 I have had several snow machines over the years. My first was used Jacobson 16" snow blower. It could handle about 6" with a lot of forward and back motion(human drive). When I bought my sears garden tractor in 1976 I bought a deck, plow, and blower for it.I soon found out the blower was not made for tight spaces or hilly yards.I next bought a used AMF,Sears badged blower and used it for 10 years, what a beast. The Sears is still running at my daughters house. In 1999 I bought a new Ariens which I have added a higher chute to.I would put it against any 8 hp out there today.Last picture is the side of my driveway two years ago. That is a 4 foot panel ruler in the picture.

Posted - 12/26/2012 : 21:52:22 I had a 1963 Sno-Away walk blower, it had the same tranny as the Wonder-boy rear engines. That thing was a tank. I think it may be time to retire the SnowBuster. I'm still trying to find a plow or blower for the Broadmoor. Post some pics if you get it, I'd love to see it |

Posted - 12/24/2012 : 07:56:34 My old man just asked me yesterday if I would be interested in an old Simplicity walk behind blower...a freebie from a coworker. I said, heck yeah, so we'll have to see what model it turns out to be =] |

Posted - 12/23/2012 : 21:54:55 That SnowBuster does alot better then my neighbor's MTD single stage that is the same size. It's starting to show it's age though. A chunk of the plastic broke off below the paddles. The 728 and grader blade do great for scraping what the blower can't get |
