Posted - 08/02/2012 : 22:27:08 My employer had this sitting in his shop for as long as I have worked for him [14 years] and before I started. It used to power a small homebuilt topsoil screener. I asked him what he was keeping it for and he couldn't come up with a reason. So he gave it to me to take home. First 4 cyl. flathead engine I have owned; but not first I have worked on. Probably will get it running and build a wagon for it so I can move it around at engine shows.

it looks much like the front of a D series Allis though none of them were flatheads. |

Posted - 08/03/2012 : 18:32:28 I'd still; guess low to mid 30's HP wise. |

Posted - 08/03/2012 : 16:24:54 Not sure of the HP. I have not found a tag on the engine as of today to identify the model. Will look closer on the weekend. Phil; to judge the physical size the alternator is a standard full size delco car alt. Dave |

Posted - 08/03/2012 : 13:05:01 Hard to gauge it's size really, plus I forgot that the Moline has a 134ci Hercules engine. It is around 36hp. |

Posted - 08/03/2012 : 10:16:20 You think that much? I would guess less but it is hard to gauge the scale of the engine. Obviously not the same as the Continental in the AC model G which was a 4 cyl flat head putting out a mere 10hp at the belt. |

Posted - 08/03/2012 : 07:00:56 How cool is that! It will be neat to see what you come up with there, Dave. Will it be simply an exhibit, or will your wagon be powered by it for cruising the shows with a dozen of your closests friends? I'm picturing something like one of those rolling bars picnic tables |
