Posted - 01/21/2012 : 09:24:14 We got half of the snow they called for, but still enough to make a run with the dozer. I hadn't paid much attention to the weather and was suprised to find this morning to be our coolest so far...our first sub-zero, blue-sky morning!
Plowing my drive takes all of 4-5 minutes, so I fired up the truck first to thaw, and decided to video the B-110's wake-up. I ran it last on Wednesday, I think, and I'm always amazed at how easily this old beast starts, regardelss of how long it's sat. It still has the old LT battery that was in it in 2007 when I was given the machine. No need to replace that yet, I suppose. Not much in the way of commentary...too early, and too cold

Posted - 01/21/2012 : 10:07:25 Phil, that's my trusty Thermos travel mug. She was on her second fill-up by the time I ventured out, and is on her third now =] It's simply amazing how I can leave my hot coffee out on a day like this and still burn my mouth. It sat for at least 45 minutes when I was up the road at my folks' place this morning, and when I finished plowing there, my mouth was so frozen I dribbled and burned the heck out of my chin. I can leave it in the truck while I snowshoe some mornings, and I think it would stay hot for hours. |
