I have a Allis 918H That runs and mows great. My problem is the hydraulic lift is slower than normal in coming up. The tractor runs smooth and there is no jerking at all. I have recently changed the fluid and filter. Would like any ideas you guys might have.

Dexron III ATF works a bit better in cold weather than hydro fluid and is approved for the Sundstrand, But I expect your charge pump is weak, or maybe has air in it. I changed over to Dexron on my Soverign 18 V-twin hydro with power steering and the difference in lift and steering was amazing. The Sundstrand its self worked fine before and after. The lift was the reason for changing the fluid. It was SLOW.
