Ok, this will be fairly slow going but I will keep it updated. Stripped down the Serf today as far as I plan to go, except for pulling the motor. The pulley on the crank for the mower deck is much larger than the hole in the frame, so it needs to come off. And I can't do that today. So here is the progress so far. Going to have to get all new tires, a new seat, paint, and some odds and ends. Looking forward to getting this looking good....

I'm thrilled to see this one has begun Jon! That's going to be a real neat tractor dolled up.

Close Larry, it's a car cleaning kit!! :) There are differences, the wheellbase is actually a little longer on the Serf than the Yeoman, but the Yeoman weighs like 40 pounds more according to the manuals. That can't all be the bigger engine I wouldn't think. But they are pretty much the same, just not sure how many parts are interchangeable.... If the running chassis were next to each other without sheet metal it would be nearly impossible to tell them apart I would think.

I like the stand, just like in the service manual.... "Set tractor frame on empty Kitty Litter Bucket"

I have a 637 Yeoman I haven't started, is the difference engine and tire size or is there more

Oops! I was wrong, the lower (larger) pulley did fit through the hole in the frame. Going to degrease everything next. It's nice working with a small tractor, nothing is too heavy!!
