Well, I thought I'd give video a try this past weekend. Looking back, I should have taken some pics of our trailer load of machines and attachments that we take up, and I have some better ideas on video for next time. You feel a bit silly the first time, and we were working so much, we only stopped a few times to get a couple clips of the Weedcutter. Not too terribly exciting, but we'll work on it.

Here's my first attempt and video from the phone...that Weedcutter is so much fun. We cut for about 3 hours with the Weedcutter on the B110, followed closely by the 716-6 and the 48" deck for a nice finish. These trails help us sneak in and out of our bowhunting spots in the fall, and also work great in the CRP field for directing deer traffic =] They follow these trails like ants, and we route them to swing past our stands. In years past, the deer simply wander through the 40 acre fields with no real consistency, and us walking through the brush would make enough noise to spook them from their beds. Both problems are now solved, and the Weedcutter works much faster and give a better 'mow' than the sickle bar.

Nice video's Josh. It seemed to cut really smooth. Makes me want one. Gerard

Yep...worked slick. The narrow paths are a favorite for the deer...their heads barely peek over the weeds in October, and we found larger, wider paths are avoided by them. It's fun to get them close...this year I'll try to get a few pics of them directly under me. =]

The Weedcutter may be done for the year...I cut brush around home today, and pulled her loose for storage. I'll be REAL busy the next couple months.

Great videos, now we know what to expect from these. Was the tractor behind you finishing off the cut?

I have one of those weed blades on our Stihl...look out! That thing will cut chain link fence =]

i still need a sickle bar for here, the ditches are getting overgrown and the weedwaker with the weed blade on it needs a $2 part that's discontinued
Talntedmrgreen Posted - 08/23/2011 : 12:48:31
Need to rig on eup on a boom =] I'm sure it can be done...

Then again, I need to have a reason to haul the sickle bar along too...

It was tough to take my own video from the seat...I manage the hydrolift to keep from stuffing those exposed blades into uneven ground with one hand, and steer with the other. So...something has to give in order to get a few shots. I finally had to slow down to stay under control and video.

Wow that is really awesome! Looked like it was a beautiful day for seat time. Thanks for the videos!
