Well I was there when we bought the Sovereign 3416H in the center in 75. It was a leftover from 74 so we got a deal on it. With the 42" blower, 42" dozer, 48" mower, and 36 " tiller, dump cart, plus lights, electric lift, weights (6) and chains it came to $2,600.00. We were looking at a 4041, but it was $3K for the basic tractor with nothing. Aahhhh.....
SO, call it 2K a piece times 27 is $54,000, adjust up 600% for inflation in the last 36 years and it's $324,000.00 |

Posted - 08/05/2011 : 15:58:59 It took a while, only one of these wouldn't start - the 312 doesn't charge, still took a while. These are the half I'm running regularly, 3 are dedicated trailer pullers. :)
BATTERY'S!!! SEATS!!! I'd like to get a high performance battery that could be incorporated into the back/bottom of a custom seat, and then have a "plug" on the seat deck you drop it into. Most of these have new battery's and seats. But I'm lucky, I get Exide 51R's for $58 with trade. I get 5-10 years, maybe more, and they'll crank a balky engine for a long, long time. |

Posted - 08/05/2011 : 15:01:16 Nice photo Larry. Ain't going to be long and your going to need a bigger yard.
Batteries and flat tires. I've finally gotten to where I transfere batteries back and forth depending on the season. I use Stainless steel bolts and Stainless wing nuts. I also put those little red and green anti-corrosion rings on the post. Switching batteries is a breeze now.

Posted - 08/05/2011 : 14:19:07 very nice, but one question.. How long did it take to arrange them like that? And for some reason that seems light, are you holding back a few? haha |
