Posted - 05/24/2011 : 16:13:22 Spent three days at the swapmeet in Portland,IN last week. Sold some stuff and bought some other stuff. The two piece cultivator I had been wanting for some time. The A/C 300 series rotary tiller I just had to rescue. The weights, well ya just never know when they will come in handy!

I picked one up for a buddy a month or so back, and showed up to his house to help him remove oak roots where his new garden was going....he was on the tractor ripping them out with the tiller! I was terrified, but it really did a number on them, and nothin broke.
And that must be one heck of a 'wrench'! |

Posted - 05/25/2011 : 10:04:06 Boy,that thing has done some WORK! Some of the tines are wore out and been bent to compensate. And the sheet metal.I had to remove and straighten the channel iron on the back when I got mine as one side was bent up @ 20 degrees |

wow, nice... did you really have to "rescue" that tiller.. looks pretty nice!!
It is an awefully straight looking tiller...saved or stolen??
Yes, that is an "after" picture. Here's a picture after cleaning all the twine, vines, fishing line and other junk from the tines and getting ready to straighten the sheet metal.
The cooler is for carrying the adjustable wrench used to set the width of the shovels on the cultivator. Honestly |

with that cultivator the more you empty the cooler the fewer plants are left in the row. |

Posted - 05/24/2011 : 16:26:11 Nice work! I love my 2 piece cultivator (398), and it looks like you have a sleeve hitch/walker version there as well. Weights are like gold online, but I can't help but hoard them when I find some, especially counter weights. They are handy to have!
Someday, I'd like to hit up a show and swap, but I won't be able to bring the wife...she'd lose it if she saw me collecting at a rapid pace. I have to space them W A Y out! =] |
