well here it is huys a 1980 allis chalmers 916 repowered with an 18 hp onan opposed twin engine. it has the hydrostatic tranny and manual lift. my grandpa tore it apart, sandblasted it, painted the frame and left it sit in a covered shed for about five years. i have a 48" mower deck, A rototiller 36" i think and a 42 in snowblower(off a 314 allis). i had a cable lift but it only lifted about and inch or so, so i found this old myers ploe pump with the cable relief and fabed up this lift.

Nice Job. Looks like a real workhorse. I have a snowblower missing it's hitch and I may copy what you did.

Thanks for the ideas and pictures!

i like the front lift for it but its getiing old and inefficent. i want to put the original lift arm back on it but i ahve to fabricate on because i dont have the actual one for it. the way i see it is if you make this setup for something like this use a new one with float of possible.

Hmmm, never thought of those plow lifts for use on a GT before. Being 12V powered does make it a rather easy way to have a powerfull lift on the front. I guess I will have to pay attention closer when I see them at auctions. I like the ingenuity, I can relate to making do with what is readily available.
