I think people are more destructive, look what people (the CoE) did to New Orleans. Beavers have bigger place in earth eco system than a lot of people do, And while they can flood property with their dams, the wetlands they create also keep areas from flooding as well and provide habitat for many species needed for a healthy planet. If people didn't kill each other as often as they do, we would have had a huge problem long ago. |

Posted - 12/19/2010 : 10:31:46 I quit hunting squirrels when I lost my taste for them. I won't kill what I won't eat. Back when I did eat them, I BBQ'd them in a crock pot. As to tractor driving without an attachment, if the temp will come above freezing, I might do some "simply driving" one or more of them today! |

Posted - 12/19/2010 : 09:45:39 Tom, what kinda pellet gun? Mike is right, squirrel is great ... not at all gamy and if shot with a pellet rifle you don't have to spit out the shot. You could quarter them, brown them then cook them all day in a crock pot smothered in onions, Cream of mushroom soup and onion soup mix. You will be sucking the bones white. |

Posted - 12/18/2010 : 21:42:54 We used to ride ours out through the swamp in water deep enough that the fan would pick up water. Not real smart. If I HAD A patch of woods close by I would be doing it right now, in the dark. |
