I got it 2 years ago for free. It was missing the hood and grill. The stater/generator was full of water and froze up so I changed it to a recoil start. The engine is a 2.5 year old Briggs and Stratton 8hp I/C short block with aprox 150 hours and it runs like a swiss watch.
What I have done to it.
New rear tires
New seat
Found a hood and grill
Converted it to pull start.
"Flat head power" sticker
Put a solid state Magnetron coil in it since the shortblock doesnt support point and condenser.
The attachments I have so far.
36" mower deck.
40" grader blade.
The throttle shaft on the carb is worn out so she'll need a new carb in the future

Posted - 10/23/2010 : 18:20:10 Looks good! I would love to have one for my Yeoman 616, it has loaded AG tires on it and I think would be great for clearing smaller chores. I have one for my large frame tractors but have never even seen the smaller one for sale around here. Now I'll have to keep looking! :) |

I got the blade last fall off of Craigslist for $50. It was bought new with a 707 the guy had and had only been used 6 times |

Posted - 10/23/2010 : 16:43:11 I like it. I have been trying to find a grader blade for these smaller machines for a long time. Do you have a picture of yours with it on? Would love to see it. Sounds like you have done a good job at bringing it back to life. |
