This is my original Allis sickle bar mower. Please forgive the Cat yellow paint job but I was anxious to get something on it to stop the rusting. I will be looking at a restore as soon as I can locate the proper decals and after I have received my new idler pulleys which were backordered. I have the Simplicity sickle bar operator's manual and of course I don't have an AC mfg # but I was wandering which Simplicity number is this mower's counterpart. I have ruled out 990210 which is the mower with the handle lift. but what is the difference between the 990346, 402, 465, 538, 548, 623,and 990687? If someone can identify, what is the AC number on this unit?

Freddie I don't recon that Biggie_Rat is trying lose them.
He is providing his components to those who have a need.
I would pay him for it because it is ready to go, and i would use it.

While you haven't had to pay much, does not mean the value in workmanship,
and quality of Simplicity or Allis Chalmers are worth less.

freddie, you're in a heap of trouble.

Wait till Ron gets his magic wand out and turns you into a toad.
Only way you can escape is to turn yourself into a 2 cycle engine.

Just keep in mind that the knives are not supposed to reciprocate more than about 800-900 cycles per minute.
Mine has a reduction of 2:1 off the PTO and I run my tractor at about 1800 rpm when using the mower.

Leroy, that appears to be the mower for the Allis 300/400 series tractors. Probably would pin up to a Simplicity. You would need a front PTO to turn it on and off. Plus, there is a bracket that extends back and pins to the rear hitch that is missing in the pictures. I just picked one of these mowers up at the Portland swap meet last week. Will have some pictures up later this week when I finish refurbishing it.

I bought it without knowing what it attached to.
Yep i'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I was thinking the basic component is there. I will be able to make it work given enough time and dry weather. This assembly is quite heavy so the right hardware to hook this up is necessary.

While I don't have anything to run it, I just picked up a simplicity #990687(I'm fairly sure that's a 6) which would be the 46"
