Now that the tractor show is over the Sovereign helped me get back to chores. We had to have a new well drilled and the mud they brought up trashed our yard. So I am trying to clean it up. After about 90 minutes and 10 trips back and forth I made a dent but have a lot left to do. I have to be careful not to put too much of the wet sand/clay in that rear box, one trip the front end was coming up off the ground.

It would have been a much less labor intensive job with a JohnnyBucket.
Sorry to here you needed a new well....it would take more than a JohnnyBucket for me to dig up enough cash for that. |

I would kill for a tractor with a loader. I found a Sunstar with a loader several states away, but at some point I may have to invest in a Legacy with one. I have so many projects where it would come in handy. But, as stated, I could also stand to lose a few pounds...so.... |

They had to go 160 feet. They have not come back out yet to hook up the well to the house, they plan on that Monday. So I'll have more to clean up after they trench the water and electrical over to the old well location. For now, I have it cleaned up as good as I am going to. I can't believe how much mud/clay was there.

Good well. My well is about 40 feet with the pump at about 30-35. Pumps 22-23 gal per minute all day long. Hard as a rock and has arsenic so we use a reverse osmosis filter for drinking water and a water softener. |

OH!!! what a mess to clean up. Hope the well drillers got a good flow of water for you Jon. How deep did they have to go. My well is 135 ft. deep and you can't pump it enough to lesson the flow at all. Good sweet and very soft water as well. So iron free that soap lathers up instantly in the bath/shower. |
