tom here, the old shed in the back (4x8) was rotted out and filled with a push mower and all the garden tools and pool supplies, dad said i need to get the tractor a new home for the winter so i asked him to build a shed in the back, he said tear the old one down first, and ile buy what you need (:
it will hold the pool supplies and my tractor and its few attachments, hopeing to have a lean to off the back for other things,
my dad said biggest i can go is 8x10, anything bigger and it will cost property tax, so i guess im building two?
already tore the old one down with my tractor, and next need to dig 8 inches and fill with gravel for a base, after that im stuck,
any diagrams of how to build a shed? i have a good idea but only being 16 i know i have alot to learn, |

Grade the base to a slight peak in the middle, then plastic, then gravel, leveled out. That should take care of drainage. At least that's my quick thought. |

i cant, where would the watter drain? because the gravel base is going to be 12x12 and shed 8x10 |

I would put down plastic under your gravel as a moisture barrier. |

wel its going to sit on rocks so it dosent rot, then cinder blocks or blocks like in youre picture 6 of them, in the corners and middle,

up here we avoid any building code/tax/bylaw problems by building "portable" sheds..since they arent permanent they are not actually buildings...deck blocks work good (they dont bug us as long as the yard isnt full of them)
Im thinking of building one this year myself..gonna use deck blocks and make the walls and roof in a way that it can be totally disassembled (bolts) in six sections in case I move...maybe 8x14 that way everything can fit on my trailer

Since you are putting down rock first how about building on skids with a plywood floor? Might not affect taxes then, but you need to check with the local building codes, permits, etc. |
