Posted - 09/11/2014 : 15:23:37 My father-in-law is looking to get rid of his Cub Cadet and he has his eye on a 1990's John Deere with a single cylinder Kawasaki. I haven't heard too much discussion on these here, but does anyone have anything to say about them? Reliable? Parts more expensive than Kohler/Briggs? |

Posted - 09/12/2014 : 06:11:16 Wes, its a 265? He said its the same size as his late 60's Cub. Tractor Data has the engine as a Kawasaki FC540V. 32cubic inches. Thanks for the input! |

Posted - 09/11/2014 : 21:47:58 Jon in my experience these don't give much trouble. The Kawasaki's are good engines and generally give the least trouble compared to briggs and kohler. Would this be an LX series mower? |
