I forgot youre probably in the countryside without the benefit of street lights...It gets dark around 430 on the shortest days here...but I have a street light nearby that lights up everything for snowblowing....and in the summer theres really no cutting in the dark ..its light till 930 ish in my area...I forgot how hot some places are in the daytime...I was surprised on a trip to Texas once to notice that most people shop at night and stores are open 24 hours because of the day heat

Street Light, wow, i have to drive 30 miles to see that. Lots of Dark nights only lit by millions of little stars, but even with street lights I'd want lights, It's really amazing how well bright lights work.

Your kidding right, Yeah I mow at night, last time I mowed it was almost midnight when I finished, much cooler to mow in the evening also. What time does it get dark in winter were your at? Around 5pm it's dark here in the winter, if I want to plow my driveway, or blow snow, there's good chance it's going to be dark
